HOW A2X'S SUBLEDGER WORKS
Order-to-cash reconciliation you can trace, defend, and close faster
Built on A2X accuracy, the Subledger links every settlement to its originating order and SKU – creating a single, auditable record across Amazon, Shopify, and PayPal. It matches payouts to orders automatically, flags discrepancies, and traces any variance to its source.
Drill-down accounting accuracy
From raw Amazon, Shopify, and PayPal data to auditable subledger
All your ecommerce financial data, standardized
Amazon, Shopify, PayPal, IMS, and CSV data normalized into one finance-grade dataset — organized by SKU, channel, order, and fulfillment.
Auto-match payouts to orders
The A2X Subledger matches every settlement to its originating orders, normalizes fees, taxes, and COGS, and flags discrepancies, so you're working exceptions, not spreadsheets.
Drill from any number to its source
Move from any KPI to the original transaction; order, fee, refund, or journal entry, with timestamps and source references. Make every numberI defensible.
TOOLING FOR FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING TEAMS
Why leaders choose the A2X Subledger
One-click drill-down from any number to its source
Click any settlement total, transaction row, or flagged variance and see exactly what's behind it – orders, fees, refunds, taxes, journal entries – with timestamps and source references. No more hunting through reports or exporting to spreadsheets to trace where a number came from.
Automated reconciliation across channels, gateways, GLs, and ERPs
A2X's subledger matches transaction rows automatically, flags exceptions, identifies timing or mapping gaps, and surfaces the exact orders causing variances – dramatically reducing time spent reconciling Amazon, Shopify, PayPal, payment gateways and your general ledger (QuickBooks, Xero) or ERP (NetSuite).
Reports built for reconciliation and month-end close
Ready-made reports you can customize to your workflow:
Settlement vs. order reconciliation
Orders, refunds, and fulfillment drill-downs
Tax, fee, and marketplace charge breakout
Timing differences by order date, ship date, and posted date
Primary vs. secondary source comparison
The foundation for A2X Clarity's profitability analytics
The same subledger that powers your reconciliation also feeds A2X Clarity's profitability dashboards – so when you're ready to move from "are the numbers right?" to "what do the numbers mean?", your data is already there, reconciled, and trusted.

Still have questions? We’re here to help
A2X Core transforms messy payout data from Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, and PayPal into accurate summaries that reconcile in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, and Sage. A2X Subledger goes further — linking those summaries to the originating orders and SKUs, normalizing fees, taxes, and COGS into a double-entry record you can drill into and reconcile.
A subledger is a detailed, double-entry record that sits beneath your general ledger (GL). Think of it as the "source-of-truth workbook" where every order, payout, fee, tax, and COGS line is stored with timestamps and references. The GL summarizes results; the subledger explains them.
Amazon, Shopify, and PayPal out of the box, plus common payment gateways, inventory/IMS exports, and your accounting system (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite). You can also bring in CSVs for other sources.
It uses A2X’s transaction-level mappings as the source of truth, normalizes COGS/fees/taxes, and ties every metric back to a subledger row you can drill into.
Pricing depends on channels, order volume, and connected systems. Schedule a demo and we’ll scope the right plan for your team.
