Amazon Deferred Transactions: Important Information for Sellers

Amazon Deferred Transactions: Important Information for Sellers

Please be advised that some Amazon sellers are experiencing a delay in the payout of transactions after items have been delivered, which is likely due to Amazon’s delivery date-based payment policy. Funds may be ‘deferred’ for a set period before they are paid out to you, the seller. At this time, A2X does not include deferred transactions, as Amazon’s API does not provide this deferred transaction data. Transactions become available in A2X once they have been released.

Impacts on A2X Data: This delay can affect how sales data appears in A2X Settlements. You may notice a reduction in sales within the expected Settlement period, as deferred transactions are now recognized later. While your settlements in A2X will still match the payments you receive, the timing of recorded sales may not fully reflect your actual fulfillment dates.

Understanding deferred transactions and workarounds Although A2X cannot include these deferred transactions, Amazon has provided a new option to view them in Seller Central under Payments > Transaction View > Reports Repository. We’re actively working with Amazon to address this, and for the meantime, we’ve provided a manual workaround to help you account for these transactions in the correct period.

Please visit this support article for further details, the workaround method, and useful information.
