A2X Newsletter | Our 2025 accounting & ecommerce event list
Something strange is happening with in-person events in 2025, especially in cloud accounting and ecommerce.
For one, I’m personally getting tons of requests from accounting professionals to share where A2X is going to be. More than any other year. They’re specifically looking for 2 types of events:
- Targeted toward accounting professionals so they can connect with peers
- Targeted toward ecommerce businesses so they can connect with potential clients
On the flip side, I’ve been hearing chatter about how conferences are losing their charm, where the content is too general and feels recycled year-over-year.
So what gives? Why are more people inquiring about events today than in years past, despite feeling like the content experience might be a letdown? Aren’t those 2 things at odds especially given the cost of attending an event?
My take: Real, human connection, whether we like to admit it or not, is at the top of our list in 2025. We saw this happen post COVID lockdowns, but this is different, and AI might be the culprit. Feels like there’s a weird veneer across the web and social platforms right now. It’s making it harder to connect with like-minded individuals and potential clients. In-person events get us in the same room, and allow us to build real connections. We’re even willing to forgive content that isn’t super relevant to us.
IMO, this trend will definitely continue, and the conference organizers that can pair the in-person experience with highly relevant/targeted content will win the day. Hint: this is what we’re trying to do with Camp A2X and ecommerce accounting.
Anyway, rant over :). Given so many have been requesting the A2X event list, I thought I’d share where we’ll be and other accounting and ecommerce events we’re keeping an eye on, so you can better plan for 2025!
